Lemon Sugar Hand Scrub

2.5 C White sugar
a little over 2/3 C AoO’s Lemon Olive Oil

Mason jar

Ribbon (optional)

 

In a bowl, mix sugar and oil together.   If the scrub is too dry for you, go ahead and add a bit more oil. Spoon the hand scrub into a Mason jar or other sealable container.  Tie a pretty bow around the jar and you’ve got an easy and personal gift!

Minty Olive Oil Foot Scrub

Handful of sea salt

2 Tbsp AoO’s plain Varietal  or Rosemary Olive Oil

Tea tree Oil and/or Peppermint Oil

 

Throw a handful of sea salt into a bowl.  Add about olive oil and a few drops of each essential oil.  Mix ingredients well and scrub it on your feet. Note:  if you have cracked feet, it is normal to feel a slight stinging sensation.

 

Sea salt has significant exfoliating and antiseptic properties, leaving you with smooth, clean skin.

 

Rich in vitamins A & E as well as antioxidants, olive oil can help draw moisture back into the skin

 

Tea tree oil possesses antimicrobial properties allowing it to aid in the treatment of move foot odor, athletes foot, toenail fungus, and wounds. 

 

Peppermint oil helps relieve inflammation in the feet and the aromatherapy it provides can leave relaxed yet energized. 

Citrus Cuticle Cream

2 tsp petroleum jelly

1/2 tsp AoO’s Lemon or Blood Orange Olive Oil

 

Mix together and store in a small container.  Apply to nails nightly or as needed.

Creamy Face Cleanser

1 slice of an eating apple

2 T organic full-fat plain yogurt

1-2 tsp AoO’s Varietal or Infused Olive Oils (ex. Blood Orange)

 

Blend all ingredients together in a blender until it becomes a  creamy, smooth paste.  Apply to the face, avoiding the eyes, gently massaging.  Leave for 5 min.  Gently remove with pre-soaked cotton wool pad.  

 

Apples are rich in vitamins A, B and C as well as malic acid, good for maintaining soft, smooth skin.

Full fat, whole milk yogurt contains lactic acid that dissolves dead skin cells, providing gentle exfoliation and promoting collagen growth.  The high counts of acidophilus have an anti-fungal and antibacterial effect while the fat helps to keep the skin smooth and moisturized. 

Blood Orange Hair Treatment

AoO’s Blood Orange Olive Oil

Water

 

After shampooing, massage a mixture of equal amounts olive oil and water into hair.  Leave on for 5 minutes, then shampoo and rinse.  Use no more than every other week.

Herbal Dead Sea Salt & Olive Oil Nail Soak

A few drops of AoO’s Rosemary Olive Oil

1-2 Tbsp Dead Sea Salt

Warm water

 

Mix in a small bowl and soak nails for 10-15 min.  Rinse with lukewarm water then gently pat dry.   Finish with a natural moisturizer.   Repeat 2-3 times a week  for beautiful, strong nails.  Extra Tip:  Put a drop of olive oil on each nail every night to maintain supple, healthy cuticles

1 cup coarse Himalayan pink salt
1/2 cup Tea Rose Olive Oil


In a canning jar or similar glass container with lid, place the Himalayan salt. Pour the Tea Rose Olive Oil over the salt and seal.

Spoon a small amount into your hands, gently rub and rinse off with warm water and then dry thoroughly. Makes a fantastic gift or addition to a gift basket.
